WPA Murals - October 19 to November 24, 2001. (Members reception October 20, 6:00 PM.) This photo exhibit is an intriguing look into a by gone era of Americana.  The Works Progress Administration of the Great Depression Era was a program that not only put laborers back to work but artists as well.  Most of the  WPA Era art went into public spaces in the form of murals.  This exhibit features color photographs of WPA Murals installed into US Post Offices throughout Kentucky.  This exhibit seems very appropriate for the Janice Mason Art Museum to present since our structure was originally a WPA built Post Office.
