Last year, as a
fundraiser for the museum, we asked several area artists to donate a handmade
ornament for a silent auction. If successful, we hoped to make this
an annual fundraiser. The artist were generous - we received several
lovely pieces and raised almost $600.00.
Our second auction
will begin at the opening of our holiday exhibit which is December 1,
2001. The final bids will be accepted on December 15, 2001, until 4:00 PM.
We are asking our
artists friends for an original handmade piece with a starting bid of $20.00 for
the silent auction. Your pieces will be displayed on a unique tree in the
lobby of the museum for the two week period to gather bids. If you have an
item that would not begin at a $20.00 bid, we will place it on our tree in the
museum gift shop for sale, you will still be helping us raise funds.
