Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts is the oldest fine arts museum in Alabama.

The Heard is a living
museum celebrating Native people of the Southwest through its world
famous collections, spectacular exhibitions, colorful festivals, artist
demonstrations and residency programs. With

& Bookstore and Southwestern-inspired cuisine at its Arcadia Farms at the

The South Arkansas Arts Center is the cultural link for people living in
South Arkansas and North Louisiana. Because it is SAAC’s mission to
educate and entertain it provides monthly gallery exhibits featuring
local, regional and nationally acclaimed artists, a season of community
theatre productions annually, classes for children and adults in visual
arts, photography, ballet, music, and drama on site as well as
Artists-in-Education in area schools. SAAC’s 22,500 facility houses three

MacArthur Park, the Arkansas Arts Center is the largest cultural
institution in the state. The elegant art galleries showcase the Arkansas

Hand built
by Charles Lummis, and located along the Arroyo Seco, home of the southern
California arts and crafts movement, the Lummis Home, a city, state, and
national landmark, is a standing testament to a time when individuals
believed in harmony with art and nature. Built of concrete and faced with
Arroyo stones, the two-story house has features inspired by the Native
American pueblo, Spanish mission, and Craftsman architecture. The
L-shaped house was designed around a large sycamore that inspired the name
“El Alisal” -- local Spanish for “place of the sycamores.” El Alisal is
surrounded by a two-acre waterwise garden featuring Mediterranean and
California native plants.

The Museum of
Latin American Art (MoLAA) is the only museum in the Western United States

The Monterey Museum of Art features exhibitions from

The Asian Art Museum is the largest
museum in North America devoted exclusively to Asian art, with masterworks
from more than 40 Asian cultures, spanning 6,000 years. Valued at more
than $4 billion, the collection is San Francisco’s second most valuable
asset after its real estate. The entire ground floor is devoted to
world-class special exhibitions, including a continuing series featuring
contemporary Asian artists. Thursday through Sunday, 12 noon to 4 pm,
AsiaAlive! offers artist demonstrations, hands-on activities, videos,
and a reading corner. There are also frequent performances of Asian music
and dance. Café Asia presents a unique and affordable menu of delicacies
from various cultures. The museum reopened in 2003 in an expanded new
home -- the city’s former main library, a 1917 Beaux Arts-style building
recognized as one of San Francisco’s most important historic structures.
The renovation was designed by internationally renowned Italian architect
Gae Aulenti famous for adapting a Paris train station into the Musée
d’Orsay.

The Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts is a non-collecting
alternative space. DCCA’S exhibitions and programs explore the boundaries

Located in a
spectacular 1908 landmark building just a few blocks from the White House
at the corner of New York Avenue and 13th Street, the National
Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) is the first museum dedicated solely to
celebrating the diverse artistic achievements of women. Since opening its
doors in 1987, the museum has presented more than 160 solo and thematic
exhibitions. Its permanent collection contains works from the 16th
century to the present, created by over 800 artists including Judith
Leyster, Mary Cassatt, Camille Claudel, Georgia O’Keeffe, Frida Kahlo,
Elizabeth Catlett, Lee Krasner, Helen Frankenthaler and Louise Bourgeois,
along with special collections of 18th-century silver tableware

The only
museum of its kind in the United States, the Textile Museum is devoted to
the preservation, study, and exhibition of handmade textiles. The
Museum’s collections contain over 17,000 textiles and carpets that date
from 3,000 BC to the present. Founded in 1925, the Museum presents
changing exhibitions which highlight the richness and diversity of the
textile arts, such as Oriental carpets, weavings from both Eastern and

The Museum of Art/Fort Lauderdale, one of Florida’s

The Appleton Museum of Art, at 67,000 square feet, is
one of the largest art museums in Florida. The museum’s permanent
collections and special exhibitions range from Antiquities to the art of

The Orange County Regional History Center is located in downtown Orlando,
in the renovated 1927 Orange County courthouse. The History Center
inspires visitors to explore the rich, diverse history of Central Florida,

Heritage Square at the entrance, exploration of four floors of
state-of-the-art exhibits begins in the Orientation Theatre set as a

Historic Spanish Point
is a unique, 30-acre site overlooking beautiful Little Sarasota Bay in
Osprey, Florida. The museum preserves and interprets 4,000 years of
history, beginning with an archaeology exhibition housed inside a
prehistoric shell midden. The museum also presents Florida's pioneer life
through a homestead house, citrus packinghouse, chapel, and pioneer
cemetery. Additionally, Historic Spanish Point features formal gardens
and lawns created in the early 20th century by Mrs. Potter Palmer as part
of her winter estate. Nature trails and boardwalks allow visitors to
explore Florida's native plant communities, and the site also features a
Butterfly Garden. Picnic tables are available. Historic Spanish Point is

The Museum of Fine Arts is housed in a handsome Palladian-style building
on the spectacular downtown waterfront. The MFA was founded by Margaret
Acheson Stuart and opened to the public in 1965. It is the only place on
Florida’s west coast where you can discover 4,500 objects extending from
antiquity to the present day, and includes works by such major French
artists as Frangonard, Vigee-Lebrun, Corot, Cezanne, Monet, Berthe,
Morisot, Gaugin, Renior, and Rodin. The Museum also has significant works
by the American artists Thomas Moran, George Inness, Robert Henri, George

The Salvador Dalí Museum is
the permanent home of the world's most comprehensive collection of the
renowned Spanish artist's work. Compiled by the A. Reynolds Morse and
Eleanor Morse over a 45-year period, it is celebrated for its 95 oil
paintings, and features excellent examples from Dalí's four major
periods. With oils spanning from 1917 through 1970, the collection
provides an excellent overview of Dalí's major themes and symbols.
Characterized by its diversity, it includes the Impressionist and Cubist
styles of his early period, abstract work from his transition to
Surrealism, the famous surrealist canvases for which he is best known, and
examples of his preoccupation with religion and science during his classic
period.

The Vero
Beach Museum of Art is the largest cultural arts facility of its kind on
Florida’s Treasure Coast. The Museum features five art galleries, an

Founded in 1945, the Georgia Museum of Art was established with 100
paintings donated by Alfred H. Holbrook, a retired attorney from New York.
Collaborating with Professor Lamar Dodd, head of the University of
Georgia’s department of art in 1945, Mr. Holbrook sought space for the
collection in the basement of the old university library. The basement
officially opened to the public as a museum on November 8, 1948. The
overwhelming response to the museum and its popularity around the state
prompted the State Legislature to designate the museum the official state
museum of art in 1982. In its new building, constructed in the museum has
52,000 square feet with 9,000 feet of gallery space. The first floor of
the new building holds the 200-seat M. Smith Griffith Auditorium where
lectures, films, workshops, and dance recitals are held.
