Watercolor Exhibit Opens at Janice Mason Art Museum

 

       Cadiz, KY - The Janice Mason Art Museum presents the Aqueous USA 2003 Traveling Show.  This annual touring exhibit is produced by the Kentucky Watercolor Society headquartered in Louisville.  The Janice Mason Art Museum is one of the twelve locations in Kentucky that the touring show will be presented.  The twenty paintings in the show were chosen from the 80 watercolors that were selected for the Kentucky Watercolor Society's juried national competition.  The Aqueous USA competition received 280 submissions from 32 states.

 

       The exhibit includes paintings by artists from as far away as Texas, Colorado, New York, and Florida.  This show also features three Kentucky artists; Judith Egerton, Louisville; Jean Janson, Louisville; and Eric Johnson, Versailles.

 

       Aqueous USA will be on display at the Janice Mason Art Museum, 71 Main Street, Cadiz, Kentucky from Saturday, March 7 through March 19. This is only 12 days so make your plans to view this exciting show. Museum hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sundays. Partial funding has been provided by the Kentucky Arts Council, a state agency in the Commerce Cabinet, with support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
