Drawing Class Offered
The Janice Mason Art Museum is offering a
brand new class of basic drawing. Paula Lisowsky, an artist and the new
president of the Janice Mason Art Museum Board of directors, will lead this
class. Many people are intimidated by the idea of a drawing class, but
Paula Lisowsky said that, "If you can write your name, you can learn to
draw by this technique." The method to be used in the class is based
on the book "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" by Betty Edwards.
The class will meet from 6:00 to 9:00 PM
beginning July 16 for six sessions at the museum. The fee for the class is
$40.00 for museum members and $50.00 for non-members and includes the cost
of the Edward's book which will be furnished. Materials participants will
need to bring to class are 2 or more #2 pencils, 1 pencil sharpener, 1 white
plastic or "pink pearl" type eraser, and 1 drawing pad no smaller then
8-1/2 by 11 inches, but 14 bye 17 inches would be better.
If you are interested in enrolling for the
class please call the Janice Mason Art Museum at 522-9056 by July 12. The
museum is open from 10 to 4 Monday through Saturday, 1 till 4 on Sunday, and
closed on Wednesdays.
