Museum hires new administrator and announces new officers
Cadiz, KY, June 11, 2005 –
Janice Mason Art Museum announces that Paula Lisowsky has been named to
replace Martha Davis as Museum Administrator. Mrs. Lisowsky will assume
her position on July 1. Mrs. Davis has resigned effective June 30 to
pursue other opportunities in the counseling field.
Paula Lisowsky has served
on the board of directors for several years and is a past president of the
museum. Paula is well known in the community through her volunteer work
with the museum where she has served as a teacher and staffed the museum
office each Wednesday. Paula and her husband Bill, the Area Supervisor of
the U. S. Forestry Service in Land Between the Lakes, live south of Cadiz.
Martha Davis has been a
popular personality at the museum for four years. School students
visiting the museum are well acquainted with her as she has led countless
students through the museum’s exhibits. Museum President Portia Ezell
expressed how much she would be missed and that Martha and her hard work
are very much appreciated. Mrs. Davis says she “plans to stay connected
with the museum and volunteer on various committees.”
At the annual membership
meeting on June 2, five individuals were named to three-year terms to the
Board of Directors; Connie McElwain, Peggy Kemp, Kathy Harper, Brian
Curling and Martha Davis. The officers elected for 2005 – 06 are:
President – Vicki Karrigan, Vice President. – Ken Roberts, Secretary. –
Paul Fourshee, Treasurer – Bob Clement, Member at Large – Jean Martin and
Past President – Portia Ezell.
