Cadiz, KY- The Trigg Elementary School
Parent Teacher Organization and Janice Mason Art Museum will co-sponsor the
fourth annual Elementary School Student Art Contest with the collaboration of
the Trigg County Rotary Club. Everyone is invited to attend the opening
festivities on Friday night, January 7, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. The
art contest was open to all Trigg County Elementary students kindergarten
through grade four. All 301 entries will be matted and displayed.
First, second, and third place winners will be chosen for each grade level,
framed, and placed in the lobby of the museum. There will be a best of show
selected and the winner will receive a scholarship to the children's art
classes offered by the museum in January/February. Everyone is invited to see
the work of our budding artists.
The museum will be closed Saturday, January 1
until January 7 at 6:00 P.M. to prepare for this new exhibit. Partial funding
is provided by the Kentucky Arts Council, a state agency in the Commerce
Cabinet with support from the National Endowment for the Arts, and the USDA
Forest Service.
