2nd Annual Elementary PTA Exhibit
The Janice Mason Art Museum proudly presents
the Second Annual Trigg County Elementary School Art Show on exhibit from
January 10 through January 29. Opening night events from 6:00 - 8:30 PM
include a reception and award presentations.
Using crayons, pencils, paint and other
media, Trigg County Elementary artists will offer viewers their visual
impressions of our world. The exhibit consists of 225 entries representing
a wide variety of subjects including Christmas, home, pets, monsters, and
patriotism.
All children who participate will receive an
award ribbon. First, second, and third place ribbons will be awarded for
each grade as well as a "Best of Show" award. "This is such
a fun and exciting exhibit for children and adults alike," said Museum
Administrative Assistant Martha Davis. "We are so happy that this
show has become an annual event."
The Cadiz Rotary Club purchased frames for
the winners, and the ribbons were provided by the Trigg County PTA.
Without the support of the Cadiz Rotary Club, Trigg County PTA, Kentucky Arts
Council, the Mason family, and local art patrons, this show would not be
possible.
The Janice Mason Art Museum is located at 71
Main Street in downtown Cadiz. Regular Museum hours are Monday, Tuesday,
Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10:00 - 4:00 and 1:00 - 4:00 on Sundays.
More information is available at the website, www.jmam.org or by calling the
Museum at 522-9056.
