AQUEOUS WATERCOLOR EXHIBIT MAKES A BIG SPLASH AT LOCAL MUSEUM

Cadiz, KY. - - The Janice Mason Art Museum is proud once again to host the Aqueous USA annual watercolor exhibit which opens March 5.  This is a unique opportunity to see watercolor paintings from across the United States which have won prestigious awards from the Kentucky Watercolor Society.  This year is the 25th year for the contest.

The paintings exhibited at the Janice Mason Art Museum are a traveling exhibit of the award winners from nearly 300 works submitted from 32 states.  These paintings are on exhibit only in 12 museums and galleries over the course of a year.  This is the 5th year for the Janice Mason Art Museum to host the winners of this contest.

The Aqueous exhibit will be open from March 5 through March 20 at the Janice Mason Art Museum, Main Street, Cadiz.  Hours are 10 AM to 4 PM daily and from 1 PM to 4 PM on Sundays, closed Wednesdays.

"Each year this exhibit is more exciting!" stated museum president, Paula Lisowsky.  "It is truly inspiring to see these works in person.  To be able to enjoy this caliber of work right here in Cadiz is a real treat."  This exhibit offers something for everyone.

Most of the paintings are for sale and the public should be aware that a portion of the local sales goes to the Janice Mason Art Museum.  For more information visit the museum web site at www.jmam.org or contact the museum office at 522-9056.
