Watercolor Exhibit Aqueous 2001, to open March 5
The Kentucky Watercolor Society's Travel
Award Winners will be displayed when Aqueous 2001 open March 5 for its
annual visit. This exhibit consists of 20 pieces in various watermedia
that were part of the larger annual juried show sponsored by the Society.
Most of these pieces will be for sale.
Everyone is invited to the opening of Aqueous
2001. The festivities begin at 6:30 on the evening of March 5th.
Light refreshments will be served and ample opportunities will be available for
prospective members to discuss the benefits of membership with the Board of
directors. In addition to enjoying the work of the Kentucky Watercolor
Society, guest will have the opportunity to express their own artistic
talents. Water media tools will be set up on the gallery so anyone can try
their hand (or brush!) at watercolors. The end result will be several
pieces of community-produced art that will be displayed through the close of Aqueous
2001 on March 20.
Museum members, bring your friends and
family. Newcomers to the area, if you've not visited the Museum before,
now's the time to see what everyone is talking about! Regular exhibit
hours are Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Sunday from
1:00 to 4:00 p.m. The Museum is closed on Wednesdays.
Partial funding has been provided by The
Kentucky Arts Council a state agency in the Education, Arts and Humanities
Cabinet with support form the national Endowment for the Arts.
