Works by Watercolor Artists Guild of Trigg, Lyon and Caldwell Counties

The Cadiz Community Arts Center is a 501(c)3 nonprofit community arts center. We are not a collecting museum, but focus on bringing quality art, in all its forms, to the community.  Programming includes 8-10 exhibits each year by artists from around the local area, region, and the world representing a broad variety of media and genre.  We produce at least one theatrical offering per year, and offer classes and workshops in several disciplines.

As a nonprofit, our funding comes primarily from donations.  We have no endowment. The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, provides operating support to the Cadiz Community Arts Center with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts. www.artscouncil.ky.gov

The Cadiz Community Arts Center was founded in 1998 when an enthusiastic group of arts-minded people gained enough momentum to buy a soon-to-be-vacated historic building and with a generous gift from the David L. Mason Foundation, began a phased renovation of the building.  The first exhibit on site was opened in December 2000 and the former Post Office became the Janice Mason Art Museum (JMAM).  Southern Kentucky Independent Theatre (SKIT) merged into the CCAC in January 2008 after serving as a free standing non-profit for over 25 years.
