The Museum is proud to exhibit the
Trigg County Elementary PTA Art Contest. This is the second year of what
we hope is a very long term relationship.
The exhibit consist of all the
entries in the annual PTA Art Contest. All the entries are children
between Kindergarten and 4th Grade. The PTA and the Cadiz Rotary Club sponsors the contest, judges
the winners and provides the prizes. In the past the entries were hung
in the hall of the elementary school. This year there are 225 entries.
The opening night for this exhibit
is one of the most festive events on the Museum's calendar. As with any
opening the artists are present and are encouraged to invite their own special
guest. The Museum members also turn out in great numbers to encourage
the young artist.

This event is a perfect example of
the relationships the Museum attempts to develop throughout the
community. The students are encouraged to create art, the art is
exhibited for others to enjoy, and young people and their parents and
grandparents have an opportunity to become familiar with the Museum.
This in turn creates a long term relationship between the community and the
Museum.
