Festival
of Trees - 2002
On
the first Saturday of every December, Cadiz becomes a Christmas
City. Many local civic organizations work together to make this a
special day. The museum does its part by mounting the Festival of
Trees exhibit.
The big open house on Saturday night coincides with the Christmas Parade,
the community tree lighting, Christmas in the Park and other festive
events. This year many of our volunteers wore period costumes in
partnership with the Cadiz Main Street Program. As you can see, a
great time was enjoyed by everyone!
Every year the Festival of Trees grows. This year 25 individuals,
organizations and businesses placed trees on exhibit at the
museum. Here you will see a number of the very clever themes and
decorations dreamed up by our community. The Festival of Trees
will be open through December 31, 2002.
