Travel with us to Chicago and tour four private art collections including
the remainder of the Wier collection.
The Wier collection
contains several works by Jasper Johns, Dale Chihuly,
Rauschenberg
and numerous other contemporary artists.
Dick Wier has invited us to assemble a group as a fundraiser to travel to
Chicago. He will act as our guide to these private collections.
You will have time to visit to the Chicago Art Institute to see the very
popular
Seurat exhibit and other public
galleries, perhaps a performance and dinner.

Friday:
Carpool from Cadiz 6 AM , Sept. 17 either direct to
Chicago or to the Nashville airport. Arrive in Chicago
and check in after noon.
Friday PM at your
leisure
Optional:
Seurat exhibit at
the Art Institute.
River boat tour of architectural sights.
Various theater performances.
Saturday:
Tour the Wier Collection in their home.
Tour 3 additional homes and private collections
in the neighborhood.
After lunch tour 3 glass art galleries.
Visit
Terra Museum of American Art if time allows.
Saturday PM at your
leisure
Optional:
A list of activities, restaurants and sights will be provided. Theater,
blues music and the famous Second City Comedy Club are a few of the
highlights.
Sunday:
Depart at noon for Cadiz.
Cost:
$325 per person double
