Museum hires Dr. Martha Davis
The Janice Mason Art Museum announced today that the newly
created Administrative Assistant position has been filled. According to
Board President Karen Clement, Dr. Martha Davis of Cadiz was selected from an
impressive slate of candidates. "We are so thrilled to have Martha on
the staff of the Museum," said Clement. "She brings a wealth of
experience and community spirit to the position, and her skill and enthusiasm
will be an invaluable asset."
Dr. Davis is a lifelong Trigg County resident and is
married to Ned Davis, also a Trigg County native. She is a graduate of
Murray State University and received her doctorate from Vanderbilt University.
She was employed by Trigg County Schools and was Principal of Trigg County
Elementary School from 1986 to 1998. Dr. Davis was Adjunct Professor at
Murray State in 1998 and was most recently employed part time by Trigg County
Hospital.
"I am so excited about this opportunity," said
Davis. "I look forward to learning more about the Museum and becoming
involved with its growth." Dr. Davis will begin her new duties
September 10, 2001.
