Help Wanted

The museum is always looking for volunteers.  An organization such as this depends heavily on our friends pitching in to help.
Our volunteer network has room for you, if you have limited time or if your time is plentiful.  You may volunteer by contacting Lorna Pavon by e-mail here.
Volunteers are needed at all skill levels and in a large number of areas.  Docents (guides) are needed every day at the museum.  We need folks to assist with office tasks, construction of exhibits and ground maintenance.  This just names a few areas.  If you have an interest we will find a way for you to help.

Spotlight on Volunteers

Lorna Pavon

We shine our spotlight on Lorna Pavon.  Lorna is the queen of our volunteer program.  She is the RSVP coordinator for Trigg County and in that capacity has served the museum in the most valuable way.

Without her dedication the museum would be in serious trouble.  Lorna has used her wonderful talent to organize our volunteer corps.  Because she works with the RSVP program she has access to a number of senior volunteers.

Lorna has served on the museum board since it's beginning.  She has continually been an ambassador for the arts in Trigg County.

Lorna and her husband Eduardo are the parents of two children; Hugo and Annabella.  Lorna attends St. Stephens Catholic Church in Cadiz.  There she is admired and respected for her dedication.

Working with the museum, Lorna has tirelessly opened and closed the museum daily. She makes certain that docents (guides) were always on hand.  On on many occasions, Lorna sat with the museum when the scheduled volunteer was unable to be there.

Lorna's attention to detail is legendary.  She has been know to spend hours (well, maybe not hours) cleaning and re-cleaning the glass tops on the tables in the lobby.

Lorna, we appreciate your dedication to the museum.  We tip our hat.  Thank you!
