Trigg County Elementary PTA - January 6, 2007 - January 30, 2007.  The annual PTA Elementary art exhibit has become a favorite and much expected exhibit in the community.  Art by K - 4th grade is displayed with a big opening night reception to meet the artists.  Not to be missed.                                    

Trigg County Middle & High School Exhibit - Feb. 3, 2007 - Feb. 28, 2007.  True Colors; works by Trigg County High and Middle School students.  This is an exhilarating exhibit.  So many fresh ideas an a delightful insight to the emerging young artists of our community.

A Chocolate Affair! - Feb. 10, 2007.   Fairholme, 89 Main Street. This huge Chocolate event is a great opportunity for an elegant evening out and a terrific way to support the museum.  Held at Fairholme, (The John Street House) with live music and more chocolate then you have ever seen in one place.  You will not only be able to eat to your heart's content but you will have the opportunity to bid in a silent auction for wonderful chocolate treats to take home to your valentine.

Aqueous 2006 - March 6, 2007 - March 20, 2007.  Best of Kentucky Watercolor Society annual show.  A diverse collection of paintings that show the possibilities of what can be accomplished with watercolor.

Trigg County Quilters Guild - March 23, 2007 - April 22, 2007.  The best of the best of the Trigg County Quilter's Guild.  This show features many varieties of quilting - from today's most modern methods to the time tested hand stitched tradition of grandma.

Big Band Dinner Dance - March 24, 2007.  JMAM's annual fundraiser.  This event was such a hit the last four years that we have scheduled the same band again this year, The Temple Airs from Evansville, IN.  This event will be limited to 250 tickets and members of JMAM will have the first opportunity to purchase tickets.  Once again the dinner and dance will be held at Lake Barkley State Park convention center.  This year as an added attraction the rock band Cat Daddy will perform from 10 to 1 AM.

Pursuit of Perfection, Bhutan: Druk Yul, Land of the Thunder Dragon - April 28, 2007 - July 1, 2007.  A once in a lifetime opportunity to view an entire exhibit of rare works from Bhutan. That little country tucked in between China and India next to Tibet.  Bhutan was closed to visitors until 1978 and even now the number of visitors is very limited.  This is the second international exhibit hosted by JMAM in 3 years.  This exhibit is not traveling and will not appear anywhere else after it's visit in Cadiz.

Ellen Glasgow - July 5, 2007 - July 29, 2007.  Extended to August 15, 2007.  A nationally recognized landscape painter, Glasgow is owner and director of the Capital Gallery of Contemporary Art, Frankfort, KY. Working in oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel and monotype techniques, the artist produces both large-scale canvases and small works on paper. Throughout her artistic career, she has traveled extensively across the country, developing sensitivity for the nation’s coastlines, rivers, marshes, fields, ridges and mountains, all familiar subjects in her paintings.

Steven Block - August 3, 2007 - September 9, 2007.  Steven Block, a graduate of the University of Louisville and Harvard University has assembled an excellent collection of lithography, drypoint and other print techniques that ranges across time and style and artistic temperament. The collection features images that are strongly tied to 19th Century Kentucky and American history.    CANCELED

Oh, The Things We Collect! - August 22, 2007 - September 9, 2007.  Friends and neighbors share their various and eclectic collections with us.  You will just have to see it to believe it.  Cadiz Promotional Items, Plumb Bobs, Presidents Autographs, Walking Canes and many other topics.  This is a fun opportunity to enjoy collections that we would not usually have access to - and to escape the heat!  Come by and visit - you will not be sorry.

JMAM Juried Art Show - September 14, 2007 - October 21, 2007.  Our own prestigious competition, which is opened to everyone from the four-state region using any medium.  Generous awards sponsored by local businesses!  Prospectus available on our website July 1.

Brushy Fork Creek Studio - October 26, 2007 - November 18, 2007.  Paul and Patricia Ferrell, owners and artists of Brushy Fork Creek Studio, have been creating unique art since the ‘70’s.  Paul creates woodturnings specializing in hollow-form vessels, using mostly burlwood and spalted wood from the hills and hollows of Western Kentucky. Patricia produces a variety of unique functional stoneware pottery and a distinctive line of woodfired pots. Patricia also has developed her own glazes that are unique to her work.

Festival of Trees - December 2, 2007 - December 31, 2007.  This event grows every year and each year the Christmas trees are more unique.  The popularity of this event has caused the Museum to limit the number of trees to 30.  These Christmas trees are projects of civic organizations and businesses in the area.  This year there will also be a gingerbread house contest. The opening night is always the night of the Cadiz candle light Christmas parade and  plenty of Main Street and  Museum volunteers will be in Dickens' costume.  Join us in celebration of the season.
