Kim Chalmers - April 26 - May 28, 2004.  Kim Chambers is currently the Head of the Art Department at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, Kentucky.  He exhibits regionally and nationally and in Europe and Asia.  He often uses the unusual media of  Kentucky red clay and limestone washes on paper to produce large colorful collage pieces.  Another unusual aspect of his exhibits is to arrange his art pieces specifically for the exhibit space.  He says, "My work consists primarily of site responsive installations.  In each case the exhibition space provides initial input into organizational possibilities as well as content orientation. Each project then becomes a matter of sorting relevance, priorities, and pressing concerns into a working response to the exhibit space."

William Renzulli - June 19, 2004 - July 18, 2004. For the past twenty years, William Renzulli has successfully woven art and medicine into the fabric of his life.  Upon completion of his medical training, he established an internal medicine practice, but his life long interest in art matured into a call that could not be ignored.  Although he continues to practice medicine full time in Paducah,  his artistic avocation is a major component of his life.  Renzulli's paintings have been exhibited in numerous solo and juried shows in galleries in the mid-Atlantic states, and his limited edition prints are distributed nation wide.  He has been commissioned to create both commerative prints and original work for a number of institutions, schools and businesses.  His earlier works are exclusively watercolors, but in recent years he has been exploring a new medium.  Utilizing liquid clay, pigments, pastels, and fabric, Renzulli creates the "clay monoprint".  He also has a growing body of work using the shadow box format, which incorporates found objects with his artwork to explore the relationships between shapes, color, and light in both representational and non-representational pieces. This show presents a mixture of exciting new art techniques with the more traditional watercolors and pastels.

George Bandarra - July 22, 2004 - August 28, 2004. The artwork of George Bandarra combines iron with exotic metals such as stainless steel, copper, brass, bronze, and aluminum to create "hand forged" sculptures and decorative ornamental metal works. This artist is of Portuguese descent, and he skillfully forges the enduring traditions of old to merge with the field of art in producing new and unique fabrications.  He has thirty years of experience in forging iron and has commissioned work at Murray State University, Kentucky State Parks System, and  the Cairo, Illinois Historic Library.  He also has three sculptures registered with the Smithsonian Institute's National Museum of American Art and Cultural Property.  He is a member of the international National Ornamental Metals Association, is currently serving on the editorial advisory committee for the international magazine Fabricator, and  he has received four awards for his iron works and scullptures in international competition. He currently resides in Murray, Kentucky, where he operates Bandis Iron Hammer.  This exhibit affords the opportunity to view the elegance of iron transformed into exquisite three-dimensional sculptures and art pieces.

The Past and the Pending - October 22 - November 24, 2004.  Brian Curling and his grandmother Dale Curling join together to exhibit Brian's block prints and Dale's unique paintings.

Festival of Trees - December 1, 2004 - December 31, 2004.  This event grows every year and each year the Christmas trees are more unique.  The popularity of this event has caused the Museum to limit the number of trees to 30.  These Christmas trees are projects of civic organizations and businesses in the area.  The opening night is always the night of the Cadiz candle light Christmas parade and plenty of Main Street and  Museum volunteers will be in Dickens' costume.  Join us in celebration of the season.
