Trigg County Elementary Art Show - January 10 - January 29, 2002.  Exhibit featuring the work submitted to the annual PTA show.  This is always an interesting and vibrant display of youthful creativity. (Press Release.)  (Opening night pictures.)

Willie Rascoe Folkart - February 1 to February 28, 2002.  This exhibit will feature the brilliantly colored art work of self-taught African American folk artist, Willie Rascoe.  Rascoe calls Cerulean, KY his home.  Rascoe's work is made from found materials such as driftwood and bones. Aqueous  USA 2001 - March 5 to March 20, 2002.  Best of the KY Watercolor Society annual show.  A diverse collection of paintings that show the possibilities of what can be accomplished with watercolor. (Pictures & Info.)

Japanese Kimonos - March 29 - May 15, 2002.  A collection of rare and antique traditional Japanese attire.  Collected personally over a 30 year period while living in Japan by Claude Holeman of Dawson Springs, Kentucky. (Press Release.) (Pictures & info.)

Trigg County Folk Arts and Crafts - June 1 - June 30, 2002.    An exciting opportunity to see the best of Folk Arts and Crafts created by residents of Trigg County. A non-juried show.

Tour of Lake Homes - June 16, 2002.  A Father's Day event and a pleasant fund raiser for the Museum.  This is an excellent opportunity to see at least 4 Barkley Lake area homes that have never been on tour before.  Click here for details or call the Museum (270-522-9056).

Landee Bryant Textiles & Photography - July 5 - August 5, 2002.  A student of Murray State University and native of Cadiz, this talented young artist presents an exciting and fresh look at her specialty-textiles, and a clever eye toward photography.  (Pictures & info.)

Mary Martens Oil Paintings - August 8 - September 8, 2002.  Mary is known for her realistic though unique views of architecture, landscapes, statues, portraiture and large detailed flower paintings. Influence of the old masters is very apparent in her paintings as well as the vibrant colors taken from the early impressionalists.  She resides outside of Nashville in her country home with her husband, two children and their three dogs.  http://www.hightonedarts.com

Kentucky Guild of Artisans and Craftsmen - September 14 - October 28, 2002. Based on Berea, Kentucky the KY Guild will be presenting the best Kentucky has to offer.  This Guild is known world wide and JMAM is fortunate to be able to present this exhibit.  The Guild will also be stocking the Museum Store with many wonderful items.  It's not too soon to be thinking about the holiday season.

REALLY BIG Golf Tournament! - October 5, 2002.  You may call the Museum (270-522-9056) or Marshall Roberts at Arrowhead Golf Course (270-522-1999).  This is a fundraiser for the Museum so please plan to gather your friends and join us for an exciting day on the greens.

Nancy Perkins - October 18, 2002.  2:30 - 4:30 PM will conduct a writers workshop.  Those interested contact the Museum office. (Click here for newsletter article.)  7:00 PM will conduct a poetry reading at the museum main gallery - open to the public.

Margaret Rudd Workshop - October 25, 2002.  Making decorative boxes (Christmas tree ornaments, decorations or small gift boxes.)  Materials furnished.  During lunch - bring sack lunch. 10:45 AM through 1:30 PM.  Come and go as you please.  Lobby of the Museum.

Museum Members' Art Show - November 1 - December 2, 2002.  The JMAM board members will be exhibiting their art this month.  This lively exhibit will provide a little of everything for everyone.  Virtually every medium is represented in this exhibit.  This will be a good chance for you to see what your neighbor is up to.

Holiday Bazaar - November 1, 2:00 to 8:00 PM and November 2, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  A 2 day, juried art and craft sale benefiting the Museum.  15 artists will have items for sale.

Festival of Trees - December 5, 2002 - December 31, 2002.
